Wellington BodyRock 2006
After supper today we went to see BodyRock downtown. It wuz dope, yo! B-Boys and B-Girls battling it out!
Talie and I both liked the battling part of it, where one dancer would get right up in their opponent's face while they broke it down.
The son of the MC was an awesome breakdancer, full of attitude and style, and he looked to be younger than J but older than E.
The B-Girls had style and there were some great dancers but it was the B-Boys who had the massive moves. They really take it seriously....one guy, who was obviously sponsored by Puma, was reviewing a notebook before he took the floor which looked to contain the moves he had planned. Headspins, handspins, backspins, flips, stalls, disses, props, twists and turns...it had it all.
The kids really liked it. While we walked to the car, E stopped to breakdance in front a cafe window to the enjoyment of the cafe patrons.
