Proud momma and poppa

Today was Ethan's appointment at the hospital. Let me begin by telling you that he was amazing through it all. What a brave little boy..he even laughed a little during the check up with the doctor. He was poked and prodded, his nostrils were looked into, as was his throat. It turns out that Ethan will be requiring a tonsilectomy. While he's asleep, they will check out his adenoids and depending on their size, they too may be removed. Because he's young he will stay overnight for observation. The appointment hasn't yet been made but is expected sometime between now and three months. The doctor suggested sooner rather than later. As a special treat, we decided to go to McD's and take Julia out of school at lunch time. We headed to Paraparaumu and went to a Mc'D's we hit on our way to Rotorua in October. It has part of a train in there..that's where he had lunch. The kids loved it.

After lunch, we headed to a beach we'd never been to before. It was in Waikanae. What a beautiful beach...no more swimming in bays. This beach actually had waves!!! Reminded me of being back in Ocracoke. I used to love boogie boarding and got to do it again for the first time since I'd last been to North Carolina....13 years ago??? Man time flies!!

Glad to hear that it is nothing serious! I guess that's why he's always up at the crack of dawn...

Poor guy. Give him a big high 5 for us. And a hug.

Cheers
