Way of the Sword
The whole family went to Te Papa to watch an Iaido (Japanese sword fighting) demonstration. I was really looking forward to it and figured the kids would love it.
Noah was hungry and cranky from the beginning so the first "keeeyaay" from the fighters set him off. Talie had to leave with him to calm him down. Julia, Ethan and I stayed to watch the thing. It was cool but half an hour of watching nearly silent katas was enough for all of us. It certainly wasn't the hit I was expecting.
There's a Lord of the Rings exhibit up right now that we want to go visit sometime...but not today. We got some pictures anyway:
