Ringo the Beetle
Julia found this guy playing the drums by the wharf. I was a little worried he was a new immigrant sneaking in from one of the ships that had arrived from afar, that perhaps he was a Liverpudlian.
Turns out he's a New Zealand native, the Tawa Longhorn Beetle (Coptomma variegatum)

Karla,I have some sad news to share with Matthew...unfortunately his former band mate passed away recently in an unfortunate flooding accident. His temporary home had air holes in the top put no drain in the bottom so when it rained...well...au revoir Ringo! Ringo mentioned near the end that he would have liked to set things right with Matthew...so if you could pass that along that'd be great.
