Hallowe'en in Ottawa

New Zealand doesn't do Hallowe'en...so it was great to be able to celebrate here. I didn't start thinking about a costume 'til the night before and though I'd decided to be a pirate....I was missing a number of pieces. I called around to no avail. Just as I was giving up and going to try to decide on a new idea, Julia handed me a parrot she had made on her own out of paper. She also made me an eye patch. I love her creativity!
