Carp Fair
This weekend we drove, actually I'm proud to say that I drove...on the highway, out of town to the Carp Fair. The fair is really agriculture focused so we saw a cattle herding competition where three cowboys (or cowgirls) pick out three marked calfs from a herd of eighteen cows. Quite impressive.
We saw some other horse contests as well, including one where they have to run around barrels while holding then stabbing one of the barrels with a spear(?).
They had clowns too. Silly Sally (picture not shown) made J a heart hat, E a sword and scabbard, and N a dog, out of balloons. This is not a clown...sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
The kids went on a dragon rollercoaster. They seemed to have a great time...but a few times I was worried about whiplash when they flew around the corners.
