Well...we are starting to settle. Found the grocery store, internet cafe, pharmacy, etc. Things are a little bit more expensive...but we will deal.

A little more about our flights. The kids fell asleep upon take off from LA to Aukland...which was great but predictable since it was 11:30pm LA time. They woke up at around 6am LA time...which was the middle of the night NZ time. The transfer to the flight from Auk to Wellington was a little tight. We had about 20 minutes to check all our 10 bags and get through security. With the aid of some helpful Air NZ staff, we made it to the gate sweaty and out of breath at 8:58 for the 9 o'clock flight. E fell asleep at take-off.

Haven't driven yet but they walk on the wrong side too...and that has been difficult getting use to. We have a big boot in our Ford Territory and we use the lift to get to our sixth floor apartment. The apartment is awesome.

The weather has been cool but nice. We wear sweaters and the kids have been wearing gloves.

Yesterday we took the cable car to the botanical gardens. They are beautiful and have a great play area for the kids. The plants must be awesome in the summer.

E and I watched some rugby at an Irish pub yesterday...we both have lots to learn about that game. I played in high school...but I definetly don't know all the rules.

I'll be in touch again soon...hard to concentrate from an internet cafe.
