Boxing day @ the beach
Today was a beautiful day so we decided to go to the beach. We decided on the "adventure" beach rather than the swimming beach. Makara beach has lots of sea life but no beach sand only rocky shores...but we had a GREAT time. We brought Tui with us this time and she ventured in for a swim. We played in the water as well.
Here I am walking on water. Actually I'm on a rock ledge that went out into the water.
Talie was in the water playing with the kids when she felt something rub up against her leg. She looked down and there it was!! An OCTOPUS!! She shouted for me to get the camera and come running quickly..I came only to find the octopus swimming along the rocks..feeling its way up and down the trench-like area between the rocks. It hung a round for about ten minutes alowing everyone to get a great look as well as a few pictures. The glare is because of the reflection of the water. It was a truly awesome thing to see and experience..for all of us.
